THE SOUL OF THE OBJECTS
The subjects of this exhibition are chosen only as pictorial pretexts because the artist tries to find beauty, poetry and irony where it not usually accepted.
Carlos’s paintings are known by the way pastel is used: their amplitude and size vary according to the original design, the rhythm and the compactness of the pure pigment used.
Carlos’s paintings suggest calm but also movement as seen in a series of diagonals compositions. The mixture of bright and dark colors adds dynamism to the works and it is stressed by an extraordinary contrast of warm colors combined with soft tones.
